There is a rubber texture on both sides of the mouse for additional grip. The rubber pads on the bottom of the mouse are pretty small, especially when compared to the elite. The mouse buttons are a bit higher than usual but they are clicky and have a tactile feel.

The Chroma uses a 16000 DPI sensor which is as high as the Elite but if you are playing games then you are not going to take full advantage of such a high DPI anyways.
